When a booking is confirmed, guests receive a secure link through the Guest Portal where they can pay the required security deposit before check-in. This process is automated and integrated with the reservation workflow.

Security deposits are primarily used for direct bookings made through a Hospitable website, but they can also be requested for reservations from other channels when guest contact details are available.
When are security deposits released back to guests?
If no issues are reported after checkout, security deposits are automatically released to the guest after the host-defined hold period.
