Hospitable Tip: How to Automatically Upsell Late Check-outs and Extra Nights

One of the ways short-term rental owners make extra income is by upselling. A host in Miami recently shared with us that they make at least $100 per month extra with almost no effort.
A useful feature of Hospitable that might not be immediately obvious is that you can automatically ask your guests if they’d like to stay an extra night, or you can offer them a late check-out for a fee. In fact, you could even offer them early check-in for a fee.
How does it work?
Hospitable will automatically look at your calendar and trigger a message if the night before a stay—or the one after—is available.
You can configure the message as part of your existing messages, like, for example, as part of your booking confirmation message, first morning message, check-out message. Or you can set it up as a separate message.
What if I’m on multiple booking sites?
Nothing to worry about. As long as your calendar is up to date, the details will be updated across all booking sites.
And if I don’t want it to be offered every time?
If you don’t want a message to go out for a specific stay, you can edit the message for that guest, or delete a message completely.
What’s in it for me?
Extra income, of course. Some hosts also like to offer early check-in or late check-out.
Ready to try it?
Oh, I already do that!
We love hearing from hosts who are growing their rental businesses the smart way! Tell us in the comments, do you upsell on a regular basis?
