Meet Tracey and Aahil

Tracey and Aahil are co-founders of Dongo Capital Inc. and short-term rental co-hosts in the GTA and all across Canada. When they started on Airbnb, they only managed five properties, and currently, their STR portfolio includes about 60 units, which they own and manage.

Tracey and Aahil tell us about their experience of hosting guests and using Hospitable at one of these Airbnb properties—The Rosé House, located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada. This renovated arbitrage unit is designed for girl getaways, so guests come here to celebrate on different occasions and enjoy everything NOTL offers.

Watch the video to discover why Tracey and Aahil started hosting on Airbnb, how they tailor experiences for guests in Ontario’s wine country, and how they use Hospitable to help them manage multiple properties and scale their business.

The Challenge

Tracey and Aahil hired two virtual assistants to help them manage communication with guests, but as their business grew, they got to a point where mistakes were being made. As Aahil noted, “Some of the codes were not being set at the right times, we weren’t sending follow-up messages to guests, the check-in instructions were not being pushed out.” So Tracey and Aahil understood they needed to invest in technology to help them overcome these challenges.

The Solution

Tracey and Aahil started looking at different property management systems, and Hospitable stood out primarily because of its user interface and pricing structure. So they signed up for Hospitable to start a free trial, and it helped them solve their problems and ensure effective communication with guests to provide them with the necessary information at the right time. Hospitable also allows them to manage all their 60+ listings from a single dashboard efficiently.

Why Hospitable

Tracey pointed out one specific aspect where Hospitable was helpful. “We could attach an image to the check-in instructions so that it literally saved four clicks. Otherwise, I’d have to add an image from the photo library, find my photo, and do all that nonsense, whereas I just attach it with Hospitable. It’s a standard thing that goes out.”

She admits that using the AI tool for guest messaging was game-changing to her—”that’s just saved so much time. Even though it’s my property, I don’t always know exactly how far away the university is. But with just a click, it easily gets sent, and it’s drafted in a great way—so much better than I could say it.”

Tracey also likes Hospitable’s dashboard, making it easy to track everything when managing multiple properties. “When you have more than five properties, it gets quite hectic to see how many check-ins and check-outs I have tomorrow. But Hospitable has that all on your dashboard neatly and sorted, so it’s easy to identify how busy I will be on Sunday, and it helps me schedule my time and the team accordingly.”

Aahil likes that he can use Hospitable’s message templates to create his messages at different stages of the customer journey so he doesn’t have to spend time thinking about what to write. He is excited about the auto-saving feature so that when he is typing something out, it won’t be lost if there’s something wrong with the internet connection.

Tracey and Aahil emphasize that Hospitable is very easy to use because the user interface is intuitive and the language is consistent, making the learning curve less steep.

Tracey and Aahil want to continue growing their STR business and use Hospitable to streamline their business operations. They feel confident that it will be easier to scale even faster with Hospitable, so they look forward to new features that will help them further enhance their operations.
