Airbnb is constantly trying new things to enhance the user experience on its platform for both hosts and guests. Within the 2024 winter release, Airbnb has officially launched its Co-Host Network to make it easier for hosts to find experienced local co-hosts to help them manage their Airbnb properties.
Let's find out how Airbnb Co-Host Network works and how you can join it to earn more money or use it to find a local host to help you take care of your home and guests.
Airbnb Co-Host Network: What Is It and How Does It Work?
The Airbnb Co-Host Network connects property owners who list their homes on Airbnb with experienced local hosts who can manage their listings. Currently, the network is available in 10 countries: the US, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, and the UK. Airbnb promises the network will expand to more countries in 2025.
The Co-Host Network includes more than 10,000 co-hosts with an exceptional track record of hosting on the platform. They have an average Airbnb rating of 4.86. According to Airbnb, 73% of co-hosts are Superhosts, and 84% help manage Guest Favorites, which are some of the most loved homes on Airbnb.
Hosting on Airbnb can be a great way to earn extra money, but it requires dedication and hard work and can be rather time-consuming. So, if you need help, Airbnb co-hosts can provide personalized support based on your needs and reduce your workload. They can take care of your rental space or help with other important tasks, from setting up your Airbnb listing to taking care of your guests when they stay there.
And if you automate your repetitive daily tasks, such as guest messaging, updating prices, and more, using vacation rental software like Hospitable, you can manage your rental hassle-free, even remotely, and stay in control of your listing.

Co-Host Network uses an algorithm that considers many factors that influence search results, including quality, engagement, and location, to help hosts find co-hosts that offer services most relevant to the host. The algorithm also considers the host's history on the Airbnb platform, the type of listings they have, the location of their listings, and the hosting quality, such as reviews, ratings, and the Superhost status.
When a host enters their address or location, the algorithm recommends co-hosts that are part of the Airbnb Co-Host Network and are the best fit for them to manage their listing.
Finding a Local Co-Host on the Airbnb Co-Host Network
You can search the Co-Host Network to find someone local to your listing to help you host, check out their profile, and contact them to learn more about their services. Airbnb recommends reaching out to more than one host. You'll see all their replies in your Messages.
- You need to go to the Where is Your Home page and enter your property's address to search the network for someone nearby. You'll see profiles of local co-hosts ranked by location, engagement, and quality.
- Explore available co-hosts in your area and compare them by the services they offer. Check out co-hosts' profiles to learn more about them—their experience, skills, past guest reviews, Airbnb listings they host, pricing, and other important details.
- Message as many so-hosts as you like to get to know them better. Introduce yourself and explain what kind of help you need. Ask additional questions and discuss your hosting expectations.
- After you decide who you would like as a new partner, you can invite the co-host to your listing and set up the permissions that work for you.
Co-hosts can take on many hosting responsibilities so you can focus on growing your business, and Airbnb provides you with all the tools you need to collaborate with your co-hosts on the platform as seamlessly as possible. You can:
- Message a co-host directly
- Invite them to host your Airbnb listing
- Set their permissions for managing your listing.
- Share payouts on bookings with your co-host directly through Airbnb.
Co-hosts may also help you manage your listings on other OTA platforms and your direct booking website, so it's more convenient to get your whole team to work together on a single platform. If you opt for vacation rental software like Hospitable, you can assign each team member a role and give them access to the features and properties they need to do their job. This way, you can get help to reduce your workload, ensure smooth collaboration, and stay in full control of your business.
Take your team management to the next level
